It will show how to use the new Mental Ray Importons and Irradiance Particles rendering techniques.
The 3D model comes from the Evermotion collections, exported from Max in obj. format via the new FBX exporter.
It was partially remodeled by me to optimize it for MR & Maya software.
Maya Poly, Nurbs. Physical Sky/Sun, Mia Photographic Exposure, MR Portal Light.
For now I post this images created few months ago for the Wat Dhammakay Temple, a very special place which promotes world peace through Dhammakaya meditation.
2 MR Portal Light, one behind the window, and one behind the door for the warm interior ambience.
The Physical Sky enviroment is connected to both Portal lights using the enviroment slot.
A Mib Blackbody with a temperature of 6500 K is connected to the Light colour slot of the window Portal Light.
A Mib Blackbody with a temperature of 3200 K is connected to the door Portal Light colour slot.
The Light emitting from the wall lamps, the Christmas Tree lights and the Fireplace, is achieved through the additional parameter of the Mia X Material, to which I connected Mib Light Surface shaders.
Finally I rendered an additional AO render pass, and another slight additional lights fog pass with software maya renderer,
and composited all in PS.
